Ek baar jo apne paas apni Daadiyan ka ilaaj daalte hain, uska sath Baap ka ilaaj daalna izhaar na uthaye. At one time if you take your treatment for ills, the father's treatment should not be neglected. One has to make an effort to make up for one's sins and misdeeds before death comes. Successful completion of nine days trial of father's treatment will bring about complete cure in blood diseases like anaemia, jaundice and sickle cell anaemia. This is a myth that has been around for ages. The belief pertains to the treatment of blood disorders that are frequently seen in all communities of the world. There are various conditions known as anaemia, jaundice and sickle cell anaemia. Some of the popular names of these conditions are "father's disease", "mother's disease" and "Uncle's disease". These diseases are mainly seen during childhood or teenage years. There were earlier beliefs that Aana (mother), Baap (father) and Unka (uncle) equally contributed to disease development. This belief has been further propagated to numerous other blood disorders like arthritis, diabetes etc. Also these ideas are present in the naming of some of the severe infections like malaria, dengue fever, typhoid fever etc. The name "father's disease" is derived from the first letter of Aana, Baap and Unka respectively. The word Aana is again derived from the first letter of Aana and Ashaniya (mother). The word Baap refers to father. The word Unka refers to uncle or grandfather. These are some myths surrounding blood diseases that are erroneous but widely accepted by people all around the world. The first and foremost myth that has to be debunked is that an ailment should be cured before death. This myth has led to the phenomenon of excessive and prodigal use of medication by the patients. They have been enduring prodigal doses of medication from early childhood to adult stage without being cured from the disease. The main cause of these ailments is nutritional deficiency. The blood disorders can be cured especially when there is a complete diet or food change in addition to medication. Especially, the use of high protein foods have helped in the cure of many diseases like anaemia, jaundice and sickle cell anaemia. Three main nutrients which are mostly deficient in blood disorders are vitamin B12, folic acid and iron. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), anaemia is common in more than half of the world's population mainly due to iron deficiency. When there is deficit of this nutrient, red blood cells do not get their full life span which results in anemia. The WHO has estimated that approximately one out of every 10 persons suffers from some form of anaemia throughout their lives. cfa1e77820
